American Music Festival in Virginia Beach

The three day American Music Festival will occur on September 2-3-4, 2011. Music at the Festival includes rock, jazz, country, blues, R&B and more.

A variety of national acts are scheduled to play, including the Stone Temple Pilots (September 2), ZZ Top (September 3) and Bret Michaels (September 4).

The American Music Festival is the largest outdoor musical event on the East coast. The event features local, regional and national acts performing on stage along the beach at 5th Street as well as on other locations along the oceanfront.

Beach FamFest 2011 Summer Series

The Beach FamFest 2011 Summer Series is held Fridays in July and August at the 17th Street Park in Virginia Beach.

Festivals start at 3 p.m. with live concerts at sunset, starting around 8 p.m. Big screen movies under the stars are held from 9 to 11 p.m.

2011 Virginia Beach Patriotic Festival

The Patriotic Festival celebrates members of the Armed Services at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront at 5th Street, on June 3, 4 & 5, 2011.

For three days, guests will be entertained by national recording artists, military drills, displays and demonstrations, and a live air and sea show.

Musical entertainment includes 3 famous acts:

On Friday evening, Steel Pulse, one of Britain’s greatest reggae bands, will perform.

The Beach Boys will perform Saturday evening at 7 p.m.

Darius Rucker takes the stage at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is FREE to all shows and open to the public.

Beach Music Weekend

Beach Music Weekend begins Thursday, May 12 through Sunday, May 15 on the beach at 30th Street. The weekend music festival blends the best of the “oldies” with dancing under the stars in a jam-packed blast to the past.

Top Beach Music bands from up and down the East Coast will perform on the Virginia Beach oceanfront in a nostalgic salute to the “good old days” of cool cars and hot tunes.

A three-day series of free concerts is presented on a stage built right on the beach at 30th Street. Evening shows on Thursday and Friday give way to a full day of entertainment on Saturday and more daytime concerts on Sunday. All performances are free to the public.

Thursday’s ticketed show takes place in a local restaurant. The festival atmosphere is enhanced with beverages and food served in tents on the sand.
